some simple product recommendations

Hi all! I'm fairly new to car detailing but I've always been a fan of keeping my car very clean and shiny. Anyways, I'm due for some new products now seeing that my older ones are now used up and was wondering what you guys would recommend instead of the following:

- windows: windex

- interior trim: meguiars natural shine vinyl & rubber protectant

- exterior trim/tires: turtle wax wet n' black

So far these products have worked quite good and I am pleased with the results. If anyone knows of any other products that I should try that aren't too much more expensive but would work a lot better, I'm open to recommendations. Slowly but surely getting better at this whole thing, thanks!

If you don't want to get too spendy and want to keep buying off the shelf, I would swith to Meguires Endurance on the tires, Vinylex for the trim inside and out, and I can't really think of anything off the shelf for the windows. I use Einmann Fabrik Clear Vision and absolutely love it. A litte goes a long way, so I would order some up along with a good MF cloth for windows.

Man, if you like the stuff youre using and getting good results, then keep using whatever you are comfortable with.

In place of the products you mentioned, you find these locally on the shelf.

Eagle One 20/20 (excellent glass cleaner)

Vinylex (great dressing with a cleaner)

303( available at many boat stores)

Megs Endurance gel or Hot Tire Shine, EO Wet, Armor All, Stoners Tire Shine (tire dressing, this is a really subjective area)

All good stuff to give a try.

The best 'off the shelf' lines IMO, are Mothers and Eagle One. Both offer good quality products and a good basic line that is easy to use, easy to find and give great results. Good bang for the buck.

Awesome thanks for the help guys! As for exterior trim, what do you guys recommend the most? This is probably the most problematic area I face. Will the Vinylex work well outside? Or is there another product to look into?

Wasn't sure which 303 product you guys were referring to and/or what particular use it was for.

Vinylex is pretty much good for anything inside or out, trim, tires, dash, etc. It is not extremly shiny though, very much a satin finish.

303 is also great if you can find it locally at a boat shop.
