I often say that this forum costs me money. My detailing cabinets (no longer one) are overflowing with products. Some I like a lot and others destined for beaters and relatives cars that don't always get the same level of care that I give my cars.
Recent aquisitions / first time use:
Duragloss 901 Car Wash Concentrate -- I can see why so many of you love this stuff. I'm using about 1 oz to 2 gallons of water and getting a super lubricious and sudsy mix. This stuff is a real winner. I wish I could find it locally. I bought a 16 oz. bottle while I was away (doing some detailing for a family member on vacation) -- found it in a local auto parts store and brought the rest of the bottle home with me
. Will definitely buy again.
Chemical Guys Citrus Wash + Gloss -- Again, another super product. Very cost effective. I'm using a 1/2 oz. per 2 gallons of water. Super sudsy and does a nice job. Not quite as lubricious but good none-the-less. Can be mixed stronger for tougher jobs (wheels, wax stripping etc.). Nice stuff! Will definitely buy again.
Chemical guys polishing pad conditioner (for foam pads). Very nice stuff. Much better than water or QD spray in my experience. I seem to get a better polish job. Hard to describe but easy to see/feel when using it the rotary or DA.
Optimum Poli-Seal - Another excellent product (thanks for the recommendations). Nice polishing ability, love the fact that it is a one step and very nice shine.
Eimann Fabrik Clear Vision II glass cleaner -- Only used it once so far but I'm impressed. I need to try it more as I find glass cleaning and glass cleaning products fickle. Right now my go to glass cleaner is egs NXT. This does seem like a decent product but I need to experiment more.
I also went back to an old favorite that I haven't used in years. Megs #3 machine glaze topped with Megs #26 liquid wax. I forgot how good this combo looks (especially on black). I actually did it over the Poli-Seal and I thought it looked pretty darn nice (don't know why I topped the poli-seal other than I was experimenting a bit).
I gotta stop buying detail products or find a local "Detailers Anonymous" (hey new acronym for DA :nixweiss )
Now PLEASE -- stop recommending products -- just kidding of course.
