"Luck" Residue of design
I posted this in the detailing in general forum because this is still a work in progress as I ran out of time the day I worked on the car.I'm having trouble coming together with her to finish the polishing. Just thought I would post what has been done so far.
process...
wash with megs carwash
clay: clay magic with megs QD as lube

compound with cyclo via orange medium cut pads
and a local suppliers compound (I can't believe it's compound)heavy duty liquid stuff.

polish with cyclo via green light cut polish pads
and same local suppliers light swirl remover.

This car was in bad shape and took me 12 hours to get this far. At the end of the day, Knowinf it would be a while before I could get back to it I put a coat of NXT 2.0 on it.

The owner of this car was thrilled and could'nt understand why I was telling her that the car is'nt finished yet.

My plan is to return and polish with PB PP and top with 2 coats of EXP.

Here is a before picture that does'nt really show a lot of defects.

thanks for looking.. Dave

Great looking work and nice results so far. I don't think "Sandy" understands what exactly you are doing but we do!

Nice job Dave, that finish was pretty swirled up.
Look forward to the final product when you get done.

Thanks guys, I really do like my cyclo. It does some nice correction. Monday I get my first rotary though so I should be able to shave some time off of jobs like this one. I opted for the makita and edge pads.
