Some more funny stories

Here's a couple stories to give you guys a laugh.

First one is at my oldest daughter's expense.:)

About a year ago we came home to this ugly "ditch" duck in our front yard and when we got out of our car Sheila got attacked by this duck it was a pretty funny site but our girls were horrified.:rofl

There's Sheila fending off this duck with her purse.:rofl

Anyways, that's just the start of the story.....

The other day Sheila and my oldest were in the drive-thru at Arby's and there was a pond right next to them with a bunch of these ducks. My daughter told her mom, "Mom there's a duck over here and it's looking right at me". She was a bit nervous because of what she saw happen to Sheila. Well Sheila thought it would be funny to roll my daughter's window down to make her vulnerable to the duck. Of course she didn't think anything would happen.:redface:

Well as soon as she got the window down this duck flies right at the window and caused a big commotion.:rofl I wish I could have seen it. Sheila said the people working there were all laughing hysterically.

Somewhere in our family history we must have done some cruel things to these duck's ancestors because we are targets.:surrender
 
Here's another one I was recently reminded of......

A friend of ours told us this one involving some friends of her parents.

There was a church conference in a fancy hotel in Orlando and these friends were pastors and were attending this conference. Well the pastor's wife went to go to her room and was in the elevator by herself. The elevator stopped short of her floor and when the door opened there were three men that got in the elevator. One regular size guy and two big scary looking guys. When they got in and the door closed she heard one of them say in a deep voice, " HIT THE FLOOR". Afraid for her life, she drops to the floor hysterically and holds up her purse.

Well she soon realized from their laughter that what happened was one guy was telling the other to press the button to their floor.:rofl

She said these guys just died laughing at her expense.

The next day when she went to check out she found out that her bill had been payed. When she asked who payed it the man said it was Eddie Murphy.:rofl

I just can't stop laughing when I think about how funny that must have been. I can imagine Eddie (with that laugh of his) and his two body guards just losing it.:rofl
 
That was amazing, eddie murphy. And her bill was paid for? Should have ordered a ton of stuff lol but just curious, she didnt know who eddie murphy was?

She was an older lady who apparently isn't into watching his movies I guess. She had no clue, I know it wasn't a case of just not recognizing him because if you knew who Eddie was you would definitely recognize his laugh.
 
Well I'm feeling stupid. I guess we need to check our sources more carefully. Still a funny story though.:redface:

Looks like this story is a fake. Sheila found this on a fact or fiction site;

The Woman Who Thought She was Going to Be Robbed by a Black Man (or Men) on The Elevator-Fiction!

Summary of eRumor:
A woman at a resort (sometimes a hotel, sometimes a casino) gets on an elevator with one or two big black men. She becomes frightened, then hears one of them say, "Hit the floor." She reacts as though she's about to be assaulted when the man who spoke simply asks what floor she's going to and offers to hit the button for her floor. She's embarrassed. The next day she receives some flowers (and sometimes money) along with a note from the black man saying it's the biggest laugh he's had in years. He signs it and it's the signature of an internationally famous black performer or athlete.

The Truth:
According to Urban Legend expert Dr. Jan Harold Brunvand, variations on this story have been circulating since the 1970's and have featured the names of numerous well know black men. Several of them have publicly denied that the incident ever happened to them. One of the unfortunate aspects of this story is that it keys into false racial stereotypes and is often believed by people who are racially prejudiced.

6/16/03-A version of this eRumor that is circulating widely right now says the story was told on the David Letterman show and happened to a woman gambling in Atlantic City. She was carrying a bucket full of her winnings from slot machines up to her room and thought the black men in the elevator were going to rob her. They turned out to be Eddie Murphy and Michael Jordan
