some info on waterless washes

PA DETAILER

DETAILED TODAY?
with colder weather on its way, give me the low down on rinseless and waterless wash products. do you prefer the rinseless or (spray on) waterless? what are some of the tested and better brands of both? might try this method out sometime.......

:thanks

i always use rinseless just to be on the safe side. Detailer's Rinseless Wash & Gloss is my favorite and i also use it as a spray on. (haven't used the new improved version yet).
Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine works well as a spray on too. i use distilled water with both.

I've never used anything other than ONR, so I'm not the best one to comment on this. However, the reason I've never tried any other one is because I've never found a reason to switch. Like every Optimum product, ONR rocks.

I use the Pinnacle liquid and waterless as a "system". I think they both compliment each other very well. That being said, I'll never "waterless wash" or "rinseless wash" my cars without pressure rinsing / foaming first.

That's just me. It's too easy to just remove larger particles of dirt with pressurized water. I can't see wiping off dirt that can be rinsed off. I know its not as quick or convenient, but I will still do it all year round.

Worse case scenario, I'll bring towels and waterless wash to the pay-n-spray and pressure wash it there. Then I'll do a waterless wash. The pressure does a good job of removing dirt, as the towels stay fairly clean. It's also the best way to clean wheel wells.

I always clean wheels conventionally. I have to have spotless wheels. It's still a hobby - even though its freezing cold. The alternative is sitting inside fighting off boredom.
