So I am ordering my Zaino Z-5 PRO, is Z-8 Really needed?

GlossyTundra

Tractor Detailer
I definatly want the new Z5 PRO, but I wonder if Aquawax will be just as good instead of Z-8. What benifits to Z-8 really offer?

I guess I am asking to you all that have it, would you order it again, does it make a big difference?

Thanks

its great final step, make a very deep and wet look. Also adds slickness. Great to use after a wash to bring back the like new shine.

Oh absolutely! It will help maintain that finish. Very deep, very slick, it'll feel like you just added a new coat of wax.

But would you put something like aquawax in its place. Z-8 has been very similarly compared to aquawax and at $5 vs. $20, I would love to save some money.

You will already have some very good "bling" with the Z5pro, but if you want the all out "bling-bling" get the Z8 too. :woot2:

I used Z-8 for the first time yesterday since applying the Z-5P/Z-2P combo 8 weeks ago. Did a Z-7 wash and then sprayed the Z-8 on LIGHTLY and removed with Wayne's HP towel. Took me about 15 minutes. At first it looked like a waste of time. No better than a wash. An hour later at around sundown it takes on that Z-2 shine. Next day about 12 hours later my car looks like I spent 3 hours detailing it. Stunning.

To answer your question. You don't need it. It does make a difference. Since you're using only Z-5P I would get the Z-8 which you can use in place of the Z-2P. Since Z-8 is a spray it will work well in the door jams and on your wheels also.

I'm glad I bought it.

I'm familiar with both, and I say they are different types of products with different results.

The initial cost is high but this is a quality product that when used as instructed will give you many months of service and save hours of time chasing that "just waxed" appearance after a wash.

Here is my personal usage economics: (your usage my vary)

C5 Corvette: 1/4 oz dispensed from 2 oz misting spray bottle per application. This equates to 64 applications. 1/2 oz will Z8 my Full-size SUV (Escalade).

I normally apply after every Z7 wash and once between washes (vehicle clean and dusted prior to application).

This is approx. 8 applications per month which calculates to 8 month/16 oz bottle.

Total cost per month approx $2.50 or $0.31/application.

(Sense you are already purchasing Z5PRO the shipping if free for the Z8 and was not includes in these calculations).

"Would I order It again"? Without hesitation!!!

Than again try them both and form your own opinion, report back to us your results and discover which direction you will desire to take when it is time to replenish your QD stock. :D

Definately get it and try it out. It is totally worth it. Use Z6 after each wash and space out Z8 applications every few weeks (once a month, etc). You will be definately be satisfied with the durability and how well it works with the zaino system. A little goes a long way

I haven't used AW (yet..?), but the Z8 is excellent. As has been noted, you need very little, extremely easy to apply, great deep, wet look and slickness.

the filling ability of Z5P produces a product with a touch less gloss than Z2P. I'd suggest Z5P for filling and Z8 for that little extra pop. Z8 is clear and glossy and AW is a bit warmer. AW can be used with Zaino as long as you wash or Z6 before adding another coat of Z.

Ok, so Z-8 is in my basket. What about z-6? I have heard that Duragloss FC&S is the same thing and that is what I plan on using.

Z6 is nice, but any quality QD will work.
