Smearing / smudging on black car

I'm currently using Klasse on my black car. The finish is good, but I am getting smudging / smearing on the car. What's the best way to get rid of that?

Thanks.

I haven't used Klasse, but I've found with either Zaino or Souveran, a damp microfiber towel followed by a spritz of whatever brand of quick detailer you like works well.

Ds01C5 has the right idea. Get a good qd and slightly damp a mf with it, problem solved. Use a seach and see some tips on the klasse combo usage. Great product and you will enjoy it.:xyxthumbs

Like Ds01C5, I'm not a Klasse user, but a Zaino addict. First time I used Z2, then followed with Z6, I also got lots of smudges and streaks from the Z6. Kept trying to use more of the QD ... then fresh MF ... then fresh cotton towel, but no improvement. Finally I figured out the problem: I was using too doggone much pressure -- working myself to death. Since I've "lightened up," the problem hasn't recurred. Don't know if that will help in your case ...

Welcome mvaughan:

Please review these Klasse tips: http://www.autopia.org/forums/showthread.php?threadid=12590

You did not mention if it was SG or AIO that is causing the problem. The trick to removing SG involves the time between applying and buffing. The longer you wait the easier SG is to remove. I always use the two towel method to remove/buff SG. The first towel is damp followed by a dry mf. You don't have to really buff just wipe with the damp towel then wipe with a dry towel. Besure to wait at least two hours between applying SG and removal. I usually apply late in the evening just before dark and then remove the next morning. Of cousre I park under a car port. Oh yes, I alway use an mf towel.

good luck

Wow. Thanks for the tips guys. There's really more to it than meets the eye. Here's my typical (and obviously wrong) procedure:

1. Wash car with Zymol Clear

2. Dry off car with cotton towel

3. Application of AIO with baby diaper

4. Remove AIO with cotton towel

5. Application of SG - only one coat

So, I've already ordered a microfiber drying towel, microfiber quick detail towel and Eagle One Wet quick detailer. I see I've got a lot to learn about paint care. :D
