Toyota Avensis -07
No so many before pictures but the car was only a year old and swirled to hell. The owner uses fairy liquid and a old sponge when he washes the car
Wash
Heavy alkalie degreaser, cut 1:25 with water
Cherry foam
Clay block, using cherry foam as lubrication
IPA/H2O wipedown
Polish
Menzerna PO85RD3.02 aka "SIP" with polishing pads. Weapon of choice?
Top tool. The paint came out very nice but it lacked a little bit so I decided to go for a finishing step.
Finish
Menzerna PO85RE5 with black Mirka finishing pad with AEG rotary. Spread @900-1200-1500-1800-2000-2500-1500-900 (IE zenith) must say that I love to polish with Menzerna @ higher speeds. I gave every section it a little bit of "jeweling" @ 900 rpm for a couple of minutes. The polish residues was removed with a new mf-towel and paint wipedown with IPA/H2O
Second wash
2oz cherry foam mixed with 3oz heavy alkalie mixed with ~16oz of water via foam gun 1:10. Foamed twice. Rinsed with pressure washer. Dried with soft waffle weaves
LSP
The lsp was a new sample - a more basic coating then the one used to coat the Lexus. It was applied with a small, damp mf-sponge. The lsp was curing for about 30 mins. I removed with a damp mf-towel and a used mf-towel for second buff.
Menzerna PO85RE5 on it's way to break down
Cherry foam mixed with alkalie degreaser to clean the paint before applying LSP
As you can see the alkalie degreaser is removing all the polishing oils
After wash, no LSP
LSP curing
