Slowly detailing my Trans Am for the Car Show

I have had very little time recently between work, school and sleep, so I have had to detail my car in stages in the past couple of days. I am now on day three and have polished half my car. I still have AIO, EX-p, Seal and Glaze (should work right) then Natty's blue X2 (good for the flake, right?). I also have to do my interior, undercarage and put my wheels on. I will keep postin pics as I go and of it at the show (12th & 13th).



Process so far:

Wash

Clay (new paint so didn't pick up much at all)

OCP w/orange pad on spd 6 (very hard new paint with body shop installed swirls)

Still have a long way to go but tomorrow I have off work so I should have plenty of time to do most of the rest.



Any comments, advice, etc?
 
Amazing how nice Optimum Compound finishes down, eh?



Definitely looking forward to the pics when you are finished. :)

hey pontman43 what color is your car? medium quasar blue? almost looks like the same color on my camaro. if so, definitely want to see some pics of your car when done. wasn't too thrilled with the combo i used, so i'm on the lookout for a better one.

Its mystic teal metalic, the color looks different from different angles (its not the camera). I'll keep you updated.

LOL, I wish, I would need another $100K to take home any kind of win. lol I must say I think I had the best paint though. lol Completely swirl free, even the black. When I was looking around I didn't see a single car that was swirl free and a couple of the winners had MAJOR swirls and or oxidation!!! I guess the judges dont really notice that. I wish they would have a best paint award, because I would win for sure. lol I also noticed that most of the people there used MF from Costco lol and thought it was great. When I would try to sell mine to them (actually quality stuff) for $2, which is really cheap (just trying to get rid of them), they thought it was a rip off even after telling them and showing them the differences. lol About 10 of my business cards were taken and 5 flyers were taken, but I doubt I will get one call.



I will be uploading pics from today and will post those in a little while. I had full sun all day today, so it was better to show off my swirl free, camileion (sp?) paint. lol
