Sloooow blinkers

After much polishing my blinkers have slowed down considerably. I've checked everything and cannot find the problem. I sent an email to GM and their response was:



"'Im willing to bet that you have run out of blinker fluid. Not too many people know that the blinker fluid should be changed every 30,000 blinks or once a year, whichever comes first. I would check the blinker fluid reservoir and top it off with some fresh blinker fluid and that should get you blinking faster again."



So now I'm tearing the Elky apart looking for the blinker reservoir. Anyone have a clue as to it's location and what weight blinker fluid I should use?

FWIW,sounds to me like someone's pulling your leg. I've never heard of such a thing. Somewhere behind/beneath the dash housing ought to be the blinker mechanisms. It sounds like they need to be replaced. :nixweiss

I was disappointed that they didn't have the cross-drilled brake lines in stock :(

Look down low on the firewall, the fill tubes are right under the johnson rod cover. Ironically, hey're hard to see. The blinker fluid is actually chemiluminescent fluid. Make sure you examine each fill tube carefully, you have to make sure you put red blinker fluid in the rear and yellow/amber in the fronts. I'll see if I can get some pictures of the location off of my monte carlo for you, it should be the same if you have an 80s al camino (G-body).
