Assumptions of paint finish:
Well-prepped, completely swirl-free surface (black colour), that’s been washed with dish-washing detergent and wiped-down with alcohol+water mix.
Approach 1:
a. Meguiars Swirl Free Polish followed by
b. 2 layers of 3M Prof Hard Paste Wax 12 hrs apart.
Approach 2:
Only 1 layer of pure wax (eg. Megs 26, Megs 16, 3M Prof Hard Paste, Coliinite etc)
Which approach do you think will give longer durability under hot weather? 1 or 2?
I have heard some other pros saying that if you do multiple layers of glazes, polishes and waxes, the moment any 1 layer deteriorates, the whole thing goes.
Do you guys agree?
Is it better for a pure wax to be applied to a 100% clean, oil/polish-free, well-prepped surface? Or shd a polish be applied first? Pls assume looks are not important. Thnx.
