Simple Green

Is it ok to use Simple Green when washing a car or will it strip the wax like using dishwashing detergent?

Are you talking about the Simple Green Car Wash, or the Simple Green Heavy Duty Degreaser? If it's the degreaser, I would definitely not use it. It's used for heavy duty cleaning and degreasing, not for washing a car. If I'm not mistaken, it could be even more strong than a dishwashing detergent. I'd stick with regular car washing shampoo.

Don't use the degreaser. Its great at what it does and is a very versatile cleaner, but NOT a car wash.

Perhaps the OP used it for his engine bay and some of it oversprayed onto his car? *shrug*

Simple Green might be effective, but personally I cannot stand the smell.

I thought I was the only one who HATED the smell of Simple Green. It's awful. And I still use the product, because it seems less "chemically" (i made that word up) than other degreasers, and works well.

Oh, I actually like the smell of Simple Green! Maybe I've been dulled by the smells of Collinite and Long Haul QD (Yuck...)
