Simple Green vs Purple Power

What's the difference between Simple Green and Purple Power?

I've read the Simple Green is not that safe for bare metals because it's citrus-based. Is it citrus based?

Is Purple Power more like a Meg's APC, Super Degreaser, or Safe D-greaser?

I'm asking because I want a strong cleaner that I don't have to worry about where it gets applied (other than the body paint of course) and is economical (and preferrably OTC.)

IDK, but I just can't stand the smell of Simple Green...it starts off smelling like a scent of pine, then.........BAM!!.....skunk a$$.

RET

i dont know about simple green having any negative effect on bare metals . . . I use it for engine and undercarrige degreasing frequently , and have never seen any negative effects on engine components or metal peices under vehicles . . . however, I am usually drying the parts in question immediatly following a rinse . . . after all . . its bare metal, tha S&^* will rust if its not cared for properly.

But the smell . . . jesus christ . . . . they ought to put small bottles of that in medical facilities and ambluances as oppsed to amonia capsules, that stuff would awake me from a nightmare . . . or would it cause one . . . .

But I put up with it because every applicator I use on brown, goopy tires once cleaned with simple green, comes out the color it started as and rinses crystal clear. . . . their so cheap why no try both of them?
