hi all,

i use simple green(diluted) to get rid of scuff marks on my leather and it does a good job of getting rid of it. i just wanted to know if simple green is the wrong solution to use? am i hurting my leather by using simple green?

basically i dilute simple green, about 1:10 solution. 1 being the simple green and the rest is water. hopefully simple green is hot hurting my leather because i dont want to see my leather start cracking. thanks.

i just cleaned the interior of my car and after i used simple green to get rid of the marks on my leather, i applied megs gold class leather cleaner/conditioner. if simple green is not a good product to use on leather, then let me know what products are good.

thanks for any inputs!!!

At the ratio I would say not, I'm sure that you are not doing this every day....I would be sure not to spray directly on the leather always apply to the towel that you are using....Using the Megs right after also is helping to add back in to the leather and that's a good thing.....You can also use woolite and water mixed to clean leather and that is much easier on the leather...I mix mine on a 10/1 water to woolite....Your doing the right thing

I think you're OK. I've used a similar solution to clean the embroidering on my leather and it hasn't seemed to cause any ill effects.

thanks for the inputs. yeah i dont spray the simple green directly. instead i spray it on a MF towel and wipe the towel on the markup spot.
