Silver AMG, need to step it up, prescribe away!

I have an 06 silver AMG C55 in damn near 100% perfect shape and Id like to keep it that way! I am currently pretty basic...use a combo of Meguiars over the shelf stuff with microfiber towels and would like to step it up in a few aspects.

Exterior:

Wash - NXT Wash - good for low spot count, but I think it could clean better. I hear duragloss is good?

Bug remover/protector - was reading about the diamondite bug protector gel...do products like this work?

Dry - Absorber - ive had good results, not sure what you guys think.

Sealant - using Megs compound and megs polish only when necessary. havent used it on this car yet. would like to get a good sealant instead...natty's red was recommended to me, also Klasse.

Wax - Meg gold class - I like it. easy to apply. want to try something new though. Apply all products with microfiber towel.

Megs Quik Detail spray.

Wheels - Meguiars hot wheel spray combined with sponge/car wash soap/water - this is ok, but sometimes crud gets hardened around the corners of the spokes, would like to easily get rid of this and prevent (maybe a brush?). Mothers wheel polish, which I dont feel is necessary.

Tires - Megs high endurance gloss which I LOVE. Perfect gloss, not gaudy, lasts long.

Clay bar - Meguiars...used on previous cars was not impressed at all.

Interior - Meguiars interior spray (forget the "model") - i love this stuff, no need to change

I am going to do a solid detail before winter comes and want to step it up and get on a regular process. Not using a PC, all by hand. Im not a multi-day detail type guy. I typically wash once a week, and wax once a month. Id like to introduce sealant into the process, once every few months or so. I know if I do I'll need to clay first as well. I am known to engage this process outside in the sun from time to time too on nice days. I like to get it done in one afternoon too, so I think something like Zaino with an intense process is overkill for me.

Any recommendations? Dont have to go through the whole thing one by one, any individual suggestions based on my needs is appreciated. Thanks!

I'd suggest for a sealant:

1 FK1 #1000

2 Opti seal/clear seal

3 Megs #16 (is a wax but wery durable)

Etc....

All of these will look great on silver and last a long time.

Polish:

If by hand - Optimum Poli Seal or Zaino's ZAIO ( either ome will work well)

Hope this helps.

The way I tackle silver is this way. Silver doesn't always show depth like darker colors so the way I get a silver car to gleam is to spend a great deal of time on the miscellaneous items like wheels, tires, wheel wells, rubber moldings, windows, emblems, exhaust tips etc... I'm not saying that silver can't look awesome but some silvers are better than others. Zaino provides a nice shine on silver as do the products recommended by tdekany. Put wax/sealant everywhere on your silver car including windows and wheels. Then stand back and put on your sunglasses.

I used one coat of z5pro on a silver escort this weekend. It really gave it a AWESOME wet look and that signature "Zaino Glow"! I wish I had time apply 2 more coats.

I would go with Collinite #845, #476s. These lack a little in the look department but have great durability

Or Zaino z2/z5. These have amazing looks and great durability. I have yet to test these in the winter so I can't help ya there. But I have used the Collinite waxes.

Well, I have a Metallic Grey colored car which is a few shades darker than what you'd have. As far as sealant goes, I use Zaino Z-2 Pro and then an application of Zaino Z-CS. The Z-2 X 2 coats alone lasted me October-March last winter. I plan to apply Z-CS once a month or so now that I have that product...anyway here are the results of those products on grey metallic...it shines pretty well IMO.
