Greg Gellas
I'm Greg :)
So my buddy stopped by....He knew I was taking the day for myself. :nono Never a good idea to let friends know what your doing.....He stopped by and asked if I would take care of his Caddy for him.
So much for a day off, not to mention it was in a less than perfect condition to say the least.
I washed with the foam gun and dawn to get any waxes or sealants off...
All Stripped, I don't think there was anything on there to begin with...
After some polishing, the splatter is from me letting him try his hand at polishing.....He asked if I would remove his pin stripe :bawling: If the condition of the car wasn't enough now this. I totally understood, as it was just a partial pin stripe....Probably more than half was no longer on the car. You can see in the afters that it came out great, and looks great without a pinstripe.
Needless to say the car really need a pretty aggresive procedure. Some areas needed "spot" wetsanding to level the clear. But I went over the entire car with a purple wool pad and IP. Followed it up by an orange pad with SIP, and Finished down with 203 on an orange pad. There was no need to move down as even after those three steps the paint would never become much better than where it was at after that. Not to mention I decided to send him on his way until tomorrow. I told him I wanted to take the rest of the day to finish my yard work, as you can see from all the bags in the backround. So he'll stop by and I will let him seal the car....
Thanks for checking it out...Greg :2thumbs:
