Yeah, I wouldn't waste a moment contacting him...reminds me of the ding dong friend of my friend who was corresponding with someone who (yeah, right) lived in her town, but just happened to be back in Nigeria temporarily. He had some real :sosad story, and by the strangest coincidence, her credit card number got stolen right after that (get this, she warned my friend "be careful, did you know they can do that without even physically having your card?", apparently she thought that credit card theft involved actually stealing it out of your wallet...apparently she doesn't remember carbon paper receipts  )

This sounds exactly like common eBay scams, which, being a cell phone enthusiast who has used eBay quite frequently and are on HowardForums.com, I've seen it a lot.

You have nothing to lose (except time, of course) by trying to follow through, but most likely he will require some type of upfront something or another. He'll make excuses of some kind - that's always how it happens.

I'll bet that he'll say "friend.. ,,, i have money none.,, you pay and i pay you us$40000 for u troubles"

I will also guarantee you the letter comes from Nigeria. Looks like they're getting smarter, but their English hasn't improved any

Notice how it sounds too good to be true? That's because it is. That's how the scammers get ya. If I were you, I wouldn't even waste my time with this, unless you have time to burn to play with a scammer.

I haven't heard of scammers scamming pro detailers, though. This is totally new to me... everyone might want to take heed of this and know for future reference.

On a bit of an off-topic note, I'm fighting my own fraud over here, as I have a mysterious $93 charge on my DEBIT/check card (!) originating from... Malaysia

i just dont get it....anyone with any common sense should be able to realize these guys are just theives....how do people fall for it...and people must, otherwise they wouldnt still be flooding the internet

it's all about percentages...if they send that to 10 million people...they only need 0.001% to bite...and there are plenty of less-than-average intellects wandering around out there.
