Should I invest in some Meg's Detailer?

O RLY?
I've seen how great Hyper Dressing looks on GSRstilez's jobs, so I'm eager to get some. It seems to me that if it's diluted 3:1 or 4:1 it will be a lot cheaper than buying bottle after bottle of other products.

I'm also interested in the other Detailer line products. Should I buy some?

Shoot, first thing I was gonna suggest was Hyper Dressing :lol

3:1 and 4:1 is gonna be a low gloss sheen and matte, respectively. It's probably the cheapest dressing out there. It works great on trim (vinyl, plastic, rubber) as well as the wheel wells (spray on and walk away). However, the tires have a bit of learning curve. I feel like it has a hard time penetrating. However, for tires that are reguarly dressed, it works great! I'm just saying, the cars I detail usually have extremely dry tires and the dressing takes about 10 mins to soak in, then I go over once more with a EO Tire Swipe and I'm set!

Other than HD, I know people use Last Touch as a QD with excellent results.

I wouldn't go for the APC / Degreaser...EBPCivicSI turned me onto the Costco versions of both and coming out at 1/3 of the price with 1.25 gals (compared to 1 gal), it's a no brainer. BTW: The results are arguably the same.

Hope this helps.

Being a big fan of Meg's discontinued APC+ which has been replaced by the Detailer line All Purpose Cleaner, I have a question.
When you say that you feel the Costco version gives comparable results, does that include use on carpet and upholstery? The fabric conditioners in the previous APC+ seemed to allow its use on fabrics with what I felt were very good results. Does the Costco version have fabric softeners as well?

FWIW, we are getting our first Costco, but I seriously doubt that I am going to pay someone $40 to $50 a year to take my money.:)

Thanks Sean. I've read your posts that mention the Costco APC and I've really been looking forward to the next time I go there :). My local PBE may have some HD, so maybe I'll stop by sometime this weekend.

BTW, I'll be doing a detail on the Benz tomorrow. My dad hit a pothole (about the size of a small sinkhole) last night and blew his left tires. It was nasty yesterday, with torrential rain, mud, etc., so it could use a good cleaning.
