Should I get a Cyclo?

A local guy has a Cyclo Model 5 for sale for $130. He says he's only used it once on the wing of a plane. I dont know much about them and dont know if I even have the money, but that seems like a smoking deal for a Cyclo. What do you think?

Yeah, that sounds good to me too. Even if you only used it to apply/remove LSPs or scrub carpets, it'd be well worth it IMO. I'd set it up with the new Edge system pads and adaptors.

Smokin' deal indeed. Heck, at that price, if you try it and don't like it, you shouldn't have any problem selling it again for the amount you paid for it (or maybe even a few bucks more). Other than the shipping hassle if you decide you don't want it, you'd pretty much get to try it out for free.

Tort

PC, Cyclo, and rotary on hand . . . Cyclo sees the most use by far.

$130 for almost bradn new Cyclo? If he is in my area and you do not want it I might be interested.

He's in Idaho and Im waiting to hear back from him via email. Im gonna make him an offer. Maybe he wants some detail work done in trade :)

I'd say go for it too just so you can try it out. If you don't like it, as mentioned already, get rid of it.

I picked one up from a member here but have not used it that much. My initial impression though is that it is more awkward to use than the PC because of its size and build. I really want to "like" it so I am going to attempt some decent correction with as I expect it to outperform the PC in that aspect. We’ll see what happens then.

Try it some more, I'm sure you'll get used to it. Eventually it will be your "go-to" tool, as it has with me. I'd say I do about 80% of my work with a cyclo, the other 20% with rotary. I don't use a PC anymore. I even bought a second on 'just in case'. My first one has been dropped multiple times and has gone through many cars since I've owned it and still works like a charm.

$130 is a heckova deal.

Once I received my Cyclo, I never used the PC for any kind of correction again. The Cyclo is that much better.

I used a tried a Cyclo out last week. Trust me, I didn't want to like it. I wasn't wanting to have to buy pairs of pads. Sadly though, I liked it. It glides in any direction you want it to go. It doesn't grab or kick and it covers a an area roughly 2" wider than a PC.

If you decide you are not interested I would appreciate his phone number, I would like to purchase it.
