Should I buy a pressure washer?

I'm just beginning to branch out and detail for actual customers (as opposed to family members & friends). I'm considering buying a pressure washer for convenience and to reduce marring. However, the coin-op charges $2 and is not too far from my home. From what I've read a decent pw can range between $2-300. Should I make this type of investment right now or wait until I get settled into the business? I'm so tempted but I dont think that would be a wise choice! :nixweiss

Well...$2/wash adds up, plus the liability of driving to and from, plus the fact that the pressure washer can be used as a tax write off....

You can use it for many other things besides just washing cars. I use my pressure washer for every single detail now. Hate using the hose.

You can get a pressure washer at wallmart for 70$ I got the one they have for $100 at a pawn shop for much cheaper. It was new in the box also. I couldn't live without it. When I am just doing a wash for a customer, I can blast away with it and then use QD to finish up. Just don't use too much pressure or you will blast the wax right off. But it saves time and you will be touching the car less. Less touching = less marring
