Shop lighting

I recently undertook a wharehouse building for the new home of Presidential Details. :clap2: Inside it has a lot of Flouresecent lighting. I will be adding about 6000 watts of metal halide's for true correction. I was wondering if you can put t5's or t8 lighting in in normal flouresecents housing or do I need to buy all new fixtures for high outputs

Thanks

Ballasts need to match.

Pretty much. Fluorescent lamps aren't nearly as flexible as some other lighting sources, and their main draw back is if you want to vary the light output (dimmer switch). Whole new lamp housings may be your only choice. Regardless, I can't wait to see how things come out Barry!

Congrats Barry. Keep the flourescent lamps you have now and just upgade the bulbs to a daylight spectrum, then spend more money to get additional metal halides. I have 8 metal halides over each car which really allows us to see swirls and scratches even on the sides of the cars.
