Shiny + Red = Shred

I've been detailing my car for several years and found certain products that I will use for my car. Klasse products, I have found, are some of my favorite products at this moment. I'm in the process of multi-layering with Klasse Sealant Glaze, (6x) after today. I am thinking that I will do it until I have no more time to apply it. I have some Chemical Guys XXX wax and 50/50 waiting for me to apply. Which one and when do you guys think that I should apply it? Do you like the wax over sealant look or just sealant look?

Welcome to AutopiaForums! :welcome:

Man asking for opinions on what people like (as far as looks) is always a way to stir up some emotions.

For me, on red cars, I like a saturated wet shine, so I would top the Klasse with a nuba.

Yeah, I'm seriously thinking about nuba because of it's depth of color. I've read in some threads that people don't like the nuba look because it tends to dull down the color. I personally like the shine that my car is giving me. If I nuba it, my car may have a problem that may last several months. It's hard to remove it and may have to wait several months until I can re-apply more Klasse SG.

I'm thinking about a couple more weeks of SG before I use the carnauba. I'm still seeing improvements as I lay down the SG. I'm taking my mental picture of it now and then think of it on Monday. Two more layers should be applied by then. I'll be at 9 coats by Monday. Maybe, some mindless glazing will inspire more glazing. But, that's for me to see.

I really like the title of this thread! :bigups Welcome!

9 layers of SG, wow, you are in the right place among the rest of us nuts :D

I too have a red car and love the way a carnabu wax makes my paint look wet. I've attached a photo...

In the photo I used Poorboys EX-P (x2) followed with Nattys Blue (x1) for some depth...then with Nattys Red (x2) to kick up the pure "Shredding" ability red has  I not only get an amazing wet shine I also get amazing beading :rockon

First: welcome to AF Shred!!!

I agree with you that multiple layers of Klasse SG looks great. I believe the most I have ever done is 6. As for wax almost anything you pick should look good. Based on what you have I would say 50/50 based on what I have heard. I personaly like using Colli 845 on top. But for me the Klasse twins are my winter combo for protection purposes.

I decided that I will use my SG everyday, until it runs out. After I reach that point, I will add on the wax. I don't know how much I have left. Maybe, enough for around 5-8 coats.
At this point, I have 7 coats. I've been using my Klasse before from time to time. I had a half bottle left before I started my SG coatings. I just got back into detailing after having found time to work on my car.

I'm serious about trying 5 star shine after finishing up my bottle. Have a hard shiny shell to apply something that doesn't allow anything to stick to it. People say that it is less shiny but, have they ever tried it on something candy coated like I'm trying to achieve?

Please, someone stop me from doing this!

Do you REALLY want us to stop you?! :bigups
