Shine Supply Trim Shield

Has anyone used this product before, Shine Supply Trim Shield?

I've tried searching here and came up empty, I found one thread somewhere via Google where they claimed it was used on a Toyota Tacoma detail but it didn't go into any specifics about the Trim Shield or anything like that. I've been using 303 on my car's trim with good results, and before that I used Adam's Super VRT also with good results. I'm the kind of person who can't leave well enough alone, so I wanted to try out something that had more longevity to it than just the next time I washed the vehicle.

This will be the victim.

WETS is a forum fav. here. I can attest, it's one of the best trim products i have used. And the xterra is littered with trim. Expect MONTHS of durability from this product!

Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant

The xterra is currently wearing GRIOTS TRIM RESTORER. Too soon to tell the durability of this product.

Hmmmm, well the WETS certainly beats the Trim Shield on price..... Too many decisions now, life was easier when I would just buy whatever new product was added to the Adams Polishes website :lmfao

Agreed. Front grilles all get Adams In & Out spray now, would the McKees last longer? I wanna use the new sealant-type product on the front lip, rear diffuser, cowl and window trim. Ill probably put it on the wiper arms, and will try it on my black exhaust tips.

A lot of people recommend CarPro - Dlux for plastics, as it lasts a long time (its a coating) but I havent used it yet.

I personally use Chemical Guys - Extreme Shine after CarPro - Perl didnt work out well for me (turned all of my black trim white). Despite being a CG product (some are good some arent) and being oil based (most people dont recommend oil based dressings) I really like this dressing. It lasts between 3 and 6 weeks depending on the weather on my daily driven SRT8. Plastics look very dark and rich, and the gloss makes it look like itd be oily to the touch but it isnt after it drys (~1hr to dry).

As soon as it warms up enough Ill be trying out the CarPro Dlux on my plastics...

Welcome to the forum!

Search the forum for a trim durability test by Paul with 8-10 products and IIRC Blackfire trim product stood out. Its also price marked down and with an additional 10-15% discount even better priced.

The only thing I didnt like about blackfire is that it is finicky compared to WETS. Its one of the things that I hope gets fixed in the next version of blackfire.

Thanks for the feedback.
I recently used black wow pro and loved its restoration but not sure how well it would last (perhaps using UTTG over it would help, not sure )

I have used the product! The main difference between 303 and VRT is that those are dressings that just protect for a few weeks. Trim Shield is a coating that lasts 4-6 months. It is very versatile and can be used on all exterior trim, but my favorite place to use it is rubber door seals!
