Shine A Roo Roo

Greetings All:

I have a dark green Benz with plenty of flake. Paint is in very good condition. I wanted to play around some and see if I can kick the shine up a notch.

Was going to try the following on a small section of the trunk. By hand the following:

Wash
Pinnacle Cleansing Lotion
Megs. #7 Glaze
Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax

Would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,

If its a newer car with base coat / clear coat paint, Meg's #7 won't do a lot for it IMO.

To amp up the gloss and flake your best bet is to polish it with a DA polisher with medium / lite polish. Or even a finishing polish. Removing any hazing or swirls will really make a big difference.

Seems to me like the Pinnacle Cleansing Lotion and the Meg's glaze are kind of redundant. I would eliminate the #7 personally. Just my .02..........

Appreciate the welcome and responses. After giving this some further thought and gathering some more information I may not be taking the best course of action. Keeping in mind the paint and clear coat is in really good condition I am now leaning towards a finishing polish then an application of wax on top.

Any thoughts on a top of the line Finishing Polish that can be applied by hand?

Thanks.
