shelf life of polish products

Somehow the last few years of starting a family, buying a house, 4 job changes, etc, has occupied a lot of my time lately! So unlike the majority here, I haven't used my products frequently - maybe once a year. Anyway I dusted off my Menzerna FPII last night - which I've had now for 4 years - and it worked like a champ! (and I still have 8 oz left).

Question: Does anyone have manufacturer data from Meguiars and Menzerna for shelf life of their products? I would like to order up some M205 to try out this year, but I don't want to waste product and buy more stuff which might go "bad" if I let the remainder sit around in the garage a while. (and I still have some FPII to use up.)

Has anyone raised this question with the manufacturers?

I have polishes Meguiars #7 to be direct to your question that I have had for over 5 years and wouldn't be afraid to use it today if need be.

The main problem with products going bad is excessive cold/heat. If you will shake it up good and pour a little on a pad, as long as it comes out solid(not all runny/watered down) your good to go.You may wanna keep your polishes in the house if you live in extreme climates

I believe the recommended shelf life of most polishes is 1-2 years. However as noted, I have polishes going on 4 years old that work absolutely perfect. In fact I have a bottle of the ORIGINAL Final Polish (FPI) AKA Menzerna PO87mf (not mc).

This polish still works perfectly.

I will try to find out the official recommendations, but these are often (and rightfully so) conservative.
