Shelf Life of Car Wax?

I bought a few cans of paste wax, on sale, at the end of this past summer.

Right now, it is too cold, where I live, to wax. I was wondering if the wax I bought will be good to use when the spring/summer seasons come?

I am storing the cans unopened and at room temperature, with no excessive heat or cold.

Anyone have any opinions or information?

Thanks in advance!

From what I have been told by a couple manufacturers paste wax should last indefinitely if stored in a sealed container and if kept out of extreme temperatures.

My containers of wax are a few years old and my neighbor uses a container which is at least 10 years old.

VERY GOOD IDEA.......:-)

I've had some cans of wax since I started detailing a couple of years ago, I've had one can go bad on me (a container of the really cheap turtle wax with no lid). It grew a nice layer of very pungent mold. All of the carnauba waxes I have are holding up very well, I don't think carnauba really goes bad, do crayons go bad? I don't think so.

The way that you are storing it will be OK some liquids willl break down over time...a good shaking will bring them back to life most all the time.....I would say you are good to go.
