This car was painted in 1993. My job is to keep it looking like this.

Every winter I cut the swirls with M105, LC Orange with a PC. Follow up with SSR1 or ZPC.

Then comes the Z5P and Z8 to make it pop!

I usually put about 7-8000 miles on it per "driving season. (April - October)...

Enjoy!

Sweet Vette!!!...

My father had a '79 Vette when I was younger. It had the same polished wheels as yours, but the body was a little different (I believe they changed to your spoilers in '80).

The original L48 was rebuilt with Trickflow heads, a roller cam, Edlebrock intake and carb, and full headers. With a TCI 700R4, 2400 stall, and 3.55 gears it would run low 13's all day long. The CrossFire on the 82's and 84's has always scared me. Have you had any problems with it?

I absolutely LOVE the Crossfire! I've had zero problems.

The reason people were scared of the XFire was always related to "fuel pressure" issues.

The very first thing I did was to install an '85 fuel pump. Double the fuel pressure...Problem solved!!!

Runs great and gets 23 mpg highway / 16 city. Not bad for a 27 year old car with 135k on it!!!:)

Great looking car! I have 3 favorites when it comes to C3 vettes.

1) 68 convertible (because it was my first car)
2) 78 Pace car (don't know but I've always liked them)
3) 82

That one is beautiful. One of the local guys up here has a crossfire and loves his too.

Nice job keeping it looking pristine.

Wow, what a sweet looking Vette!

It's hard top believe it's got that many miles on it.

Obviously you take good care of it and it shows!!

Keep up the great work!!

Yes, it's an '82. Crossfire Injection 350 CID, 200hp.

Runs perfectly. This was the first year for the 700R4 Overdrive transmission.. Love drivin' this car!

200hp huh? My mom had an '81 crossfire Vette and that thing sure felt like more than 200hp:D Atleast back then.Nice cars you have bro.

It's the gear ratio. By 80 they had them dialed in pretty good.

I can actually smoke the tires from a dead stop... (not that I would).

Plus the fact that horsepower is rated a lot differently now than it was then. By today's standards, it would be more like 300.

I've embarassed many late model Mustang GT's! :D

I think some of it was the short rear end also. You agree? That car would fish tail all over the place.
