SG removal with QD?

I finally tried out AIO + SG (2 coats so far) today and I like the results. The appearance is a hair more reflective and brighter than VM + S100, but is not as liquid...just by a hair. For practical purposes the only person that can tell the difference is myself and maybe another autopian. Next weekend I plan to do a very light wash with P21S and apply a coat of S100.

Application and removal of AIO was a cinch when applied VERY thinly, about 1/3 of what I would use with VM (which is already pretty thin). Since I don't have a garage (apt complex, carport) I can't let SG cure overnight. Removal was more difficult than S100, but not impossible. With trouble spots I sprayed some Mother's QD onto a MF towel and then wiped away the excess SG.

Is it ok to use QD sprayed on a MF towel to help remove excess SG?

Although I suppose it cvould somehow alter the chermical bond of SG, I've used a QD to help remove with no issues. I rarely need to any more, I simply apply the SG on SO thin you'd have to second guess whether or not you applied it to the spot you are working on.

Ok, thanks. Yeah, the next time I apply SG it will be much thinner. I only had a handful of trouble spots, so it wasn't a big deal :).

No need to use QD, plain water (or the moisture from your breath as noted) works fine. I use a damp MF for initial SG removal then follow with a clean/dry MF for final buff.

Also as noted, the thinner the application, the easier to remove.
