Seriously Neglected CL ---Before and After

I'm just gonna show you the wheels of my friend's '99 Acura CL. He didn't wash his wheels ONCE over the entire last winter and I detailed his car with him in May. Yeah I know it's a while ago but I'm a newbie here and just thought I'd share.

I used:

-On and Off (Marine Hull Cleaner):shocked

-Bug and Tar Remover

-Dawn and Vinegar Mixture

-Mothers Cleaner Wax

-IBIZ Finishing Wax

-Wash Mitt and Scrub Brush

This, like I said was back in May before I had gotten VERY into detailing. Since then, I have learned a lot from Jngrbrdman and StyleTEG...

DURING

AFTER

BTW: He didn't care how we got them clean, thats why the Hull Cleaner was brought out (This stuff burns your hands, eyes, and throat):angry

Wow...great job.

Just a question: doesn't marine hull cleaner on aluminum leave a matte finish? Seems to be pretty strong stuff.

it looked like there was curb rash in that first pic, but i guess it was just dirt afterall! wow, amazing transformation.

keep up the good work.

Nice work, nothing like an acid to make quick work of dirty wheels.

Did you take safety precautions?

The wheel probably still has the curb rash, the after is a different wheel then the before. Look at location of brake caliper.

No safety precautions, but after using this On and Off this time. I did everytime after...this stuff is NASTY!

You are right, we decided we were going to take pics kinda late. The first pic was after an initial spraying of On and Off, then rinsing. All the rims were equally messy, we just chose the last pic as a different wheel becuase of the reason it had little or no curb rash and was in good lighting.
