seperate compartment for generator?

How many of you with an enclosed trailer setup utilitze a seperate compartment with an exterior door for your generator? I just put a deposit down on a 6'x12' gloss black Pace Journey. My brother-in-law strongly suggests that I should equip it with one of these.



What do you guys think?
 
I don't. It would be nice, but I do not want to spend the extra $$$ to have a door installed and a slider to put the generator on.
