how to work with after just a wash

can you just polish with a true abrasive polish like #83 then a "treat" with an "enricher" like DC#2 polish??...or just one without the other??...but ultimately no waxing to maintaing flat look?? any advise...THANKS

See what others say, I haven't had a flat black panel since *way* back in the day. Back then I used stuff like Meg's #5/#7, which is about like your DC#2. Gotta be *gentle* and *NOT* use abrasives like the #83 or else you may very well shine up the flat black. Even using stuff like these nonabrasive polishes can turn it from flat to matte to almost satin (done that).

The biggest problems I had with waxes on such finishes was getting them even and not leaving residue. The nonabrasive wax in and of itself didn't really shine the flat up but I dunno....I'd probably try a little Souveran in an out of the way spot and see what happens.

But again, the above advice is from back in the musclecar era :o
