Selling Your Car??

I cruise threw Craigslist almost everyday looking at the cars being sold.

What I am looking for is someone unloading a car that I think I can clean, do minor repair and turn for some $$$ and its fun for me.

Anyway I am taken back by a lot of the adds with the way people post crappy pics of the cars, and the descriptions are terrible, and they are asking top $$ for them...WHAT

I have sold a few cars on CL and everyone I put some effort into the pics, write-up and all have sold with in one to two weeks at decent prices.

Sorry its just a bit of and early Saturday rant for me.

Now I have a 4x4 monster truck size of a condo to work on

Hey Beemerboy I hear you on the CL postings it is a good way to have fun and get paid for detailing and picture taking. I don't mean to hijack the thread but what happened with the 300E?

I never made it over to look at the car so its still in the air...I might get over there tomorrow...in the mean time I have found three others here locally...appears there are quite a few of those models around, all in various types of conditions, mileage & price.

I should settle on something here in the next week or two

Well you have better luck than I do selling cars, Beemerboy. My truck has been for sale for four months and only two people have asked me anything about the vehicle. I think it is at a good price. Looks good and was/is well taken care of. Of the two that talked to me they were more interested in stealing my truck rather than purchasing it at a fair price. I have tried twice to post on Craigs list and something always happens that my post does not make it through. Problems with not being tech smart.

I do not think I would make a good car salesman. hehe!!

I found ebay to be a home run, if you find a car that has low milage, collectible or simply unique. I've been selling on ebay for a few years with a friend of mine and I handle the detailing and photography. Then I set up the ad and let my buddy do the rest. Has worked pretty well. Here is an example:
