Selling products

Attention pro's/ You are mising the boat if you are not selling products. I can't believe how much revenue is generated now by selling products. Think about this, chances are after you detail a vehicle they will be doing something to the car (tire dress/ QD/etc) why not sell it to them instead of having them go to auto zone or pep boys. ???? Since I also host detailing clinics, its a natural since I already have their attention at my class. My point is that it is working for me, and I'm not that smart. So anyone can do it. for more info contact me here perfectautofinish.com Gary

good idea, but do you only offer cleaning and finishing products or do you offer other kind of accesories, bra's , bug shield's, licsense plate holders, ect.?

If you're running a service-only business now, there's some administrative stuff to consider, like getting a tax id from the state and having to pay monthly sales tax to the state, as well. Not to say that the extra paperwork isn't worth it, but it's something to consider. When I resell printing for my design clients, I mark it up but the charge is "printing management" - a service - so I avoid sales tax issues and pay it myself, to the printer.

I've been thinking about doing just this thing, though. I've acquired products for a client before, but just collected my cost on them... Perhaps if volume increases substantially...
