SEALING polished Aluminum Wheels

Any tricks of the trade on sealing uncoated aluminum wheels.

I have tried Zaino with limited success. It still oxidizes slower than without it, but water spots, etc do *etch* the surface and I can't seem to keep the MIRROR shine without having to repolish more often than I would like.

There seems to be raves about Zoopseal but I totally can't seem to find a authorative review on the product. Bikers swear by it but I'm not sure if it's just a *glorified* sealant , in which I do have plentee of Zaino that I can use.

I've never tried Zoopseal, but I have had good pretty good luck with Poorboys wheel sealant. Mine are due to be polished again, but it has held up pretty well. Now that I dont drive the car every day anymore, I am willing to bet that it will last a LONG time.

What about Rejex?

I have no experience with this combo but will come this summer. I will use rejex to seal up my BBS RS lips. Rejex did well on last year's wheels, though they were not aluminum.

The wheels are HRE. Daily driver non garaged. I'm sure environment, how it's driven, morning/evening dew/dust plays a role here too.

Zoopseal was $100 . Bearing nothing concrete from others who have used it, I'm inclined to just Zaino the wheels. The wheels are nice and polished for the warm weather again....just waiting for me to decide what I'm going to put on them.

I've tried All-in-one, Sealant Glaze, and Poorboys...all at different times.

They all work to provide some protection and make cleaning easier, but since I wash almost every week it's hard to say if one is better than another......but I'd lean toward the Poorboys since it's specifically made for that purpose.

There's a product called 'Sharkhide' that's designed to seal aluminum for ~2yrs. It was especially made for aluminum in water, but works well all over the place - I've had varied success with it on my polished aluminum pieces, but probably by following the driections and not making up your own (hehe), it works much better.
