Sealant on headlights

Normally I use a plastic polish on the headlights but today I put another coat of DG-105 on my wifes Explorer and I put it on the lights.


Will it turn yellow from the heat ??????
How many of you put sealant on the headlights????.

For the past 2 years I have had terrible back pain and it made it nearly impossible to detail my vehicles.

4 months ago I had 4 artificial disc's put in my back and I'm just now recovering from the surgery

We are having a beautiful day in Indiana today low humidity and 75 degrees and Instead of using the garage I parked under a big Ole tree and I really enjoyed being outside and detailing the car even if it did take 2 darvosets to do it.

Sorry to hear about your back pain, hope you recover fast.

As for the sealant, I use the Woflgang plastic sealant on my headlights and taillights and I have never had a problem with it turning yellow.

I've also used KAIO before with no problems.

I was thinking that the UV protection would be good for the lens.

I like using Poorboys PwS with a random orbital. Keeps the headlights clear and lays down a sealant.

I have used the Ultima Paint Guard Plus on my lights without issue.

I've never thought much about sealant turning yellow on the headlights. I never avoid the headlights when I'm putting on a coat of Wolfgang. I've found that bugs are easier to clean off when the lenses are 'waxed'. I've been doing it on my vehicles for years and never noticed any problems even running higher wattage bulbs or HIDs.
