Scuff Marks on my seats

I have some scuff marks on the back part of black seats (plastics)



And no, its not a the type of scuff that mr clean cleans, its a scratch in the plastic.



Is there anyway i can sand it down smooth or polish it out with something?
 
There is a thread on this that someone started, I forget who, that said a heat gun will make them disappear. I dont' recall who started the thread, but they said hit the area with a heat gun, NOT a hair dryer it's not strong enough, and it will disappear.
 
I've neverdone this, but I used to use heat guns a lot (2 piece hockey sticks, I played prep league, where the other teams loooove to slash), and I'd say 5-6" or so. Just enough that its slightly uncomfortable to hold your hand outfront, but not dangerously so. Keep the heat moving, too, better to use more time and move the gun, than overheat the plastic.
