I herd and saw Mothers power ball so i may give that I try. Maybe next year Ill just get my wheels refinished. But in the mean time what can i use to lighten up the scratches and make my wheels looks good???
Scratches on wheel lip...What products to use?? (pics inside)

there axis supermesh. the lip is polished thats all i know. i did use turtle wax polishing rubbing compound it did nothing.

another morning bump
you need to wetsand them then re-polsih by hand or with a machine.
I would use a 1500-2000 grit and sand the entire lip, then move onto a 000 or 0000 steel or brass wool with a coarse metal polish. then move up to a finer polish with a disposable cotton wipe.
heres some pics i did on a set of wheels yesterday. they werent scratched, but you can see how easily the aluminum can be poloshed back up.
as you can see the bogarts have seen better days, this was after cleaning with the wheel cleaner and a brush.
I used my signiture Adams system to polish aluminum and it came thru for me once again. I started off with the Adams #1 metal polish and 0000 steel wool to get off the caked on baked on brake dust off. Then lightly polished the residue off with a disposible cotton wipe. To make it look like chrome, I used a microfiber applicator with the Adams #2 to apply a light coat, after using the disposible cotton wipes to polish the residue off leaving behind a chrome-like shine.

nice work bro...But there isnt another product maybe something easier i could use to lighten the scratches up??? I have no experience in wheel refinishing. I dont want to just start taking sandpaper to my nice wheels ya know. Id almost feel more comfortable paying the $200 to have them refinished. If course Id rather not spend the money if there was an easier fix.
