Scratches on spoiler - advice please

Some arse damaged my front spoiler (offside, on the corner) wiith their own car when I was parked on the road - can only presume that they drove forward into parking space in front of me, instead of reversing. Looks like they must have given my car a glancing blow whilst carrying out their 'manouver'

Before I take the car for a repaire quote I'd like advice on the following:

Most of the damage is superficial and will polish out, but, in which order should I do things?

Have the idea of washing, then claying the damaged area, then using Scratch X (by hand as I don't have a machine polisher).

Some of the 'damage' is just rubber residue left from the other car, some is damage to the clear coat, and one area actually shows as 'white' so I think this part will defo need a respray. (My car is a Mondeo St220 in Performance Blue, bye the way).

Tks for any help - sorry if posted in the wrong area, but, I need a response asap.

You are right to wash, clay, then polish. Rubber residue/paint transfer should come out with the clay and scratch-x should at least reduce the appearance of the scuff.

Is the white part the primer of the bumper or paint transfer from the other car?
