Scratch Advice....PIC's inside

Let me know how you guys recommend that I tackle these two scratches (the car got keyed)

There are two seperate scratches, one on the passenger door and one on the passenger rear door.

The first is pic is of the passenger rear door which is definetly the better one of the two, when I go over it with my nail I do feel a slight ridge but it does not seem to deep. Its definetly not down to the metal.

The second scratch (last two pic's) is the bad one where the paint is flaking. The last pic is a close up showing this.

Anyway.....how would you guys tackle these? Compound w/ a PC and 4 inch Pad? Touch-Up paint? RePaint the whole panel? ......specific product recommendations also welcome.

I have limited experience with scratches but I do own my own PC and I have touch up paint w/ wet sanding supplies, etc.

yea there both gotta have to touch up and be wet sanded if u have experience, if not then insurance...sorry bud i hate haters people are just dumb these days but yea a pc hell even a rotary wont fix that

how old are those scratches? the last pic looks nasty...

you definitely need to touch up and wetsand minimum. that would at least minimize the damage and prevent corrosion...but a repaint is the only way to get it back to 100%.

Wow, thats horrible man, sorry to see that happen.

Definitely gonna need a touch up/wetsand. there is a great thread about wetsanding floating around here. Just do a quick search.

Whatever you do I would cover the bare metal ASAP to prevent corrosion. I am not an expert on scratch repair so I won't comment.

Ok.....I chipped away the loose pieces of paint from the scratch and I touched it up using the tooth pick method.

I am planning on sanding it down w/ 2000 wet paper however Im not sure if I should block sand or use the hole punch/pencil eraser method. What do you guys suggest? Block sanding might cover too much surface area while the pencil eraser will cover too little or not let me apply enough pressure.

There are some pretty nice sized blobs of touch-up paint that I need to sand/cut down.....please advise.

Anyone recommend using these nib/razor tools for runs:

Auto Body Toolmart - runs
