This is my first before and after post, so hope its not too long. So my neighbor walked over to my house the other day and asked if I would detail his wife's black LS460. He said that the car had been detailed earlier in the year and that he only really wanted it to be washed, waxed, and vacuumed. Upon arrival I noted some swirling, so I called him and asked if he wanted me to do some paint correction. It ended up having to be a 2-step and took a total of about 7 hours or so. My brother helped me out a bit to get it done a little faster. Anyway, he is my process:
Wash: Had to do it twice because the water dried so fast in the sun...
Cherry Power Car Wash
Blue Microfiber mitt
Bug and tar sponge
Wheels:
Dryer lint cleaner brush (worked really well actually)
Purple Power degreaser for the inner rim and wheel well
Bleach White for the tires
Rough bristled brush for the tires and wheel wells
White wash mitt for the outer rim
Electric toothbrush for the bolts
Exhaust:
#0000 steel wool
Windex
Paint:
Meguiar's SwirlX on a 6.5 white pad on speed 6
3M Ultrafina on a 5.5 white pad on speed 5
PC7424
Then an IPA after the polishing to see where I was at in terms of correction. I think it was about 85 or 95% corrected.
LSP:
Meguiar's #26 Yellow Wax
Two NEW white cobra microfibers
Glass:
Stoner's Invisible Glass
The interior was just vacuumed out as requested.

AFTER:
That isnt a hologram or anything, just a weird sun reflection because of the built in spoiler lip thing.
Thanks for looking! Comments are welcome and appreciated! :heelclick
