The EF Kit

So what do I do? Wait till spring?

This Ferrari literally had a date set to be at the paint shop, and after talking with the owner, he agreed to let us have a crack at it before he committed to painting it. My sales pitch was nothing more than expressing how much more the car would be worth with original paint vs. a repaint. I expressed the potential problems affiliated with a repaint if the shop didn?t do it correctly. And the kicker, if he wasn?t happy with the end result, he didn?t have to pay me. So I had to make it as perfect as possible!

Process:
M105 rotary with PFW
M205 rotary with Meguiar?s yellow
PO85RD rotary with Lake Country red
Topped with Wolfgang Fuzion

Top was cleaned with APC+ and magic eraser then treated with 5 coats of Meguiar?s All Season Dressing.

Tires, wheel wells and engine was cleaned with APC+ then treated with 2 coats of Hyper Dressing.

Here?s a good 50/50 shot, you can?t really tell just how bad this car was, but you can see how great its coming out!

I was right. You knocked it out of the park. Beautiful save!!!:notworthy:
I bet the owner was thrilled.

Awesome turn around Nick was the owner satisfied enough that he didn't have to paint the car now. What did you use to get that top back looking like new ??

So did you get paid? :Dancing Dot:

Really great work, particularly on the concave vents.

LOL! Yes, he paid, and was EXTREMELY happy with the results!

Those vents suck! Took almost a half a day just to work around the vents! They are riveted in, and unable to be removed, so we had to work around them. Man what a pain in the rear that was! lol!

Great save. It simply would have been tragic to repaint a car like that. Repaints rarely come out as good as the original, especially a Ferrari.

I've saved a few exotics and my catch phrase was "If they did not like the results they didn't have to pay for it". Of course I was absolutely certain the paint was salvageable.

Great save there Nick, hope you got pay at least half of what it would take to paint it! And yes those famous Ferrari vents, don't you just love them!
