Yikes, this car was nasty! Owner had tried to cover up alot of "damage" with green spraypaint. This is a 2007 with only 13,400KM. Yes just a touch over 13,000KM's!

Products:

Flex 3401VRG

ACDelco Multi-wash

Riccardo Yellow clay with Meg's Final inspection (sold under ACDelco)

1000Grit 3m wetsand paper - 1500 grit 3m wetsand paper

Optimum Hyper Compound on LC Orange 6.5"

Optimum Polish on White LC 6.5"

Optimum Poli-Seal on Black LC 6.5"

The front bumper of the vehicle was destroyed!

The whole vehicle had a nice "dusting" of green paint and you can tell by the pictures that it made the whole car look very flat!

After (not sure why this picture looks dul too, that paint is like glass!

This was what i think was an entire tube of dealer touchup paint, i found the nearly empty tube in a little cubby in the dash...it was put in without the top on secure and had leaked and glued itself to the cubby...

Here's one of the worst spots. The spraypaint in that picture is THICK!

Another bad spot

Heres a few afters, for some reason the person who's camera i was using downsized all the afters....

I will see if i can get some Decent outside pictures, Not much sun here in the winter months :(

This car was very bitter sweet for myself, i was not happy with the final outcome (ended up putting a bra on the front end) however i felt it was a fantastic turnaround!

everything from the pinstripes down was dusted! the only real damage i could find under all that spray paint were minor scrapes and ALOT of white paint transfer, this could have all been averted had they just removed paint transer!

*edit* i also must add that i absolutly fell in love with this color after spending so much time staring at it. It flips from light blue, to gold to dark green! touchup paint said Savannah jade mettalic or somthing simmilar, i think it was a 2007 only color for saturn! kind of similar to the ocean mist color they ran from 2007 (aura's and outlooks) to 2008.

Yes i work for Saturn and *no* i am not a dealership detailer :P The "hacks" at work couldnt handle this car....

a couple in there 80's owned this car... they traded it in on a 2008 Astra coupe... cant wait to see what the Astra will look like at the first service. Anyone who has been inside an Astra coupe will agree that they have almost zero rear visibility!

The best laugh i had doing this car is that when i raided the parts department for touchup paint guess what? i found 1 tube in stock... and it literaly had their name on it!

OMG!! :shocked That is just NUTS! I am speechless!:soscared: I am pretty sure I would have turned that one away ha..ha..! At first I did not realize that it was a trade in and was thinking what a waste fixing the car for owners who should not own a car.

One suggestion... get some better lighting (halogens would help) for your picture taking. The after shots are way too small and hard to make out which is a shame because it looks like you did an amazing turn around.
