Tomorrow Im traveling 40 miles to do an exterior on a 05 997. I havent inspected it yet, but the owner assures me she takes very good care of it, she even washes with a sheepskin washmit. She conveyed to me it has very very light swirls, only detectable under certain lighting, and its never been detailed before, so Im pretty certain there not halograms. Its that waaaaay cool dark blue metalflake.....

Im optimistic, 3 hrs tops.

My dilemna.....What to use.

What Im laying on the table: SSR 2.0, Optimum Polish, UPP, Opt Spray Wax, EX-P....and, Mothers Reflections. The wheels will get the usual wheel cleaning and dressing, low or hi sheen according to her wishes....

Now, the Mothers come into play for the simple fact I was given a bottle to "examine"....Just by the smell of it, I want to try it!! I do like its consistency also, thin, milky, a little thicker then Im use to, and not nearly as oily as Im use to. I may just sneak a panel in with it?!

Sunday, my first 6 series! One of my favored clients emailed me to ask if I could come by for a quick wash and wax this weekend. He told me he sold his SC430 (remember the black one I did that had the custom wheels??) to his neighbor, Im imagining I'll be speaking with him Sunday also! Every car he owns is.....black......He comtinued my black streak last summer of 8 black cars in a row....Well, at least Sunday is expected to be rather mild. So she'll get a good gentle wash, and maybe some Opt Spray Wax if its in good shape...Actually, I only have 3 hrs for it. so theres not much time for anything else. I told him the Opt Spray wax would get him through till about mid-January, then we could sit down and figure out how were going to care for the new 650i.

Pics to come maybe Monday!

:hm Lucky you. I have a Jeep and a Durango to detail tomorrow (plus an S500 and X5 to wash)...but I do have a Porsche Cayenne Turbo on Sunday. :)

You'd probably be fine with Optimum Polish and Wax, maybe toss UPP in the middle.

Scott, any noticeable smearing issues with UPP then OSW ? Im just concerned of that because UPP leaves such a noticeable layer or protection (think oils)....then to add a Poly/Nuba on top?

Well the Porsche went great! I ended up going with AIO (the last of it) on the Rock Shield, Opt Polish and Opt Spray Wax on the rest.....Pics to follow, 650i tomorrow!

Alright alright alright already, sheeeeeeeeesh!! I dont like these but what the heck, I hope the 35mm pics come out better................My digy sucks......

Thanks,

Scott and Pguy....Little did I know, she had a 3M rock guard put on the front third, and front qrtr panels, and mirror casings, so no abrasives allowed there. I reached for my remaining AIO for those areas (I didnt realize I didnt have any PB's PwC) . I clayed all exposed paint surface with FS Ult Fine Grade Clay which left it baby smooth, then Opt Polish and Green P. pad, followed by Opt Spray Wax on everything. Wheels and tires were cleaned with EO Wheel and tire cleaner (for wheels) and Original EO Tire Cleaner for tires. Wheels were sealed with Opt Spray Wax, tires got some FS Rubber Vinyl Protectant for the low sheen which the customer wanted.

I told her she'd be good for 3 months, and please call if she has any issues with bird stains or anything else. Great clients, she tipped me 20% of the bill. She also set me up with another girlfriend who has the same yr 997 Cabriolet. (Cant get to her till mid Nov though)......Thanks for the compliments guys..... :wavey

Ok, Sundays quick detail....

06 650i (OH-MY-GAWD).............

QEW'd, Optimum Spray Wax, windows, vaccuum, ......A light detail in other words....This owner is always a pleasure to detail for, he keeps his machines in excellent condition, and is really attached to them.....

The owner explained to me the likeness to a Carrera if the trunk followed the edge line...I agree......
