Sapphire black Nissan Cefiro

Hi guys,

I'm from Singapore and below are the pics of my 2 weeks old Nissan Cefiro. This new model was launched recently and its known as the Infiniti Q30 in the states.

Is this model avaliable in the states yet?

The dealer used some pretty crappy wax on the car and gave it some swirls as well :angry  . With our high humidity and temps soaring to 35 degrees celcius, the wax was gone after barely 2 weeks.

Been using Meguairs and Zaino product on my previous ride(which was also a Nissan Cefiro) and finally found some time to pamper the new ride.

Heres what I did:

Day 1

1) Wash car

2) Clean paint with Meguiars paint cleaner

3) Polish with Meguiars deep crystal polish

4) Apply Z1

5) Apply Z2

Day 2

1) Wash car

2) Apply Z2

3) Detail trimmings and tyres

4) Polish glass

5) Apply Meguairs leather cleaner and conditioner

Planning to add a layer of pure carnauba wax next week as I find the shine a little 'plastic'. Would appreciate it if you guys could recommend me a carnauba wax and leather cleaner/conditioner.

Thanks! :)

Finish looks amazing mate! :) Cracking reflections!

Carnauba wax I personally use P21S on my black Focus! :) Gives a nice deep wet look shine!

Leather wise I use The AG cleaner and conditioner

Nice reflections, great work,as far as leather goes and you use Zaino products check out there leather care such as Z10.

wow nice Cefiro!

they haven't sold the infinti version here, they only sell it as the A34 Maxima 2004+

2.0? 3.0? or 3.5?

CarKrazy,

Car looks great. :bow I'd go with P21S wax.

Why don't you scare the folks in the US and tell us how much your new car cost (including the lic fee). I'm sure its going to be a big number!

Thanks for the comments guys, Meguair's NXT range will hit the shelves this weekend and I can't wait to try it. :spot

The total cost of the Cefiro 230JM is S$109K, which is about US$63,600. The car cost alone is only S$30+K, the rest goes the the government. :sosad

The goverment has reduced the taxes slightly but cars are still freaking expensive over here, my previous Cefiro A33 cost S$133K.

A few years back when COE was sky high, a 2L Honda Accord was going for more than S$150K. :scared :shocked

Well good to hear the prices have come down! When I was looking to move to Singapore in the mid 90's an Accord was going to cost US$100k

The COE was sky high during that time, a 1.6L Mazda 323 was going for S$103K then! :sosad :sosad :sosad

The lowest the COE went was S$1 and a few lucky people got it. :)

Besides that, there is still the annual road tax, the higher the capacity of the engine, the higher the tax. Take the Nissan 350Z for example, the road tax for that car is S$4500 per annum. :scared

That reflection is bloody beautiful!! I think you just topped the best bonnet reflection I'd ever seen on Autopia, which was by Scottwax. :spot

I've been to Singapore, and unless you often drive to Malaysia (and considering the amazing costs involved), why would you buy a car? I understand why you'd "want " one, but with the size of Singapore and the public transportaion available, only a "man of means" would buy one :idea ! Therefore, I congratulate you.

a) Nice Cefiro. I wish Nissan had put that grille on the A34 Maxima instead of the bucktooth design it has now.

b) The Infiniti I35 is still using the A33 platform. I have not heard any plans for moving the i35 to the A34 platform.

Have not been up North for a while, the bloody jam at the causeway checkpoint is horrible and one dude's S$160K Lexus RX300 just got stolen over there 2 weeks back.

The public transport is good but there are still places which are more acessible by car, also its much more convenient. :)
