Sanding - the next step

jgv

I'm here!
Today I had a white car to do, not too bad, 3 year old, but some scratches from auto wash.

I had bought some 3M foam sanders (2500 and 3000 grit) and I decided to use them on the hood. Scratches were gone.

I then followed with 1Z Paintwork cleaner and a cutting foam and the rotary, the Paint polish and polish foam and the Wax polish with the finishing foam. I applied in the end 1Z Glanz Wax.

Great, like new, finish. Isn't this what we're always chasing?

hehehehehehe,

Chasing? i've known about it for years as many have. It only makes sense that the harsher abrasive you use the more damage it will remove. you should see what some 180 grit on an air file will do! wow now that's smooth :). heh heh. Glad you found something that works well for ya.
