Sam's Club Fire Nozzle

I recently picked up the Craftsman fire nozzle based on all the great reviews here. I really liked it but it needs a shut-off valve so I don't lose the setting each time I turn it off. A few days ago I saw a fire nozzle made by Nelson at Sam's Club that has a built-in ball valve shut-off. The best part is it was only $9.98 and Sam's has a great return policy if it ever breaks. While it is bigger than the Craftsman, it's built like a tank and the shut-off valve is easy to adjust and doesn't restrict flow at all.

The spray patterns are pretty much the same so I'll keep using both until I pick a favorite. But the Sam's nozzle is half the price of the Craftsman and I don't have to worry about a separate shut-off valve. Might be worth checking out if you have a Sam's membership.

Thanks for the info. Do these types of nozzles have a setting that will allow you to do a nozzleless type rinse?

i've used nelson products (quick disconnects, etc.) and they were not very good quality (many of their products can be bought at walmart). let us know how the fire nozzle holds up...

I still take either nozzle off for the final rinse. I guess I should try the "flood" setting on both nozzles.

As far as durability goes, I doubt it will wear out anytime soon. The spray adjuster is very smooth and the ball valve is serious, way more robust than an odd-on type. If anything, the Craftsman one feels light-duty in comparison. But there is a lot of good history on the forum with the Craftsman so I'll probably keep that as a back-up.
