Saaaweet 08 Z06 and 08 JSB Vette

This is a couple new Vettes I've worked on.

The first is a black 08 Z06 that one of my Houston clients and sent the car straight from the dealership to his mod shop to get LT headers, TB and a few other good installed and tuned, then let me know the exact date it would be out of the shop so that I could be the frist to touch it and prep it.

I didn't document all my process cause it was so new, but the Z06 did have some buffer trails from the factory on the passenger side rear panel and a defect on the hood. Both polished out nicely with Menzerna IP and an orange cutting pad and then ZainoPC with a white pad with the rotary.

Here's the pics, they are all afters.

Process was interior dusted, vacuumed, leather treated with Zaino Z10, then exterior washed, spot buffed and sealed with Zaino AIO and Z5.

Interior, he had orgionally ordered one with the $8600 leather wrapped interior package like the new ZR1 will have but they mested up the color combo, so he had to reorder it all without the leather upgrade, but he'll be having it custom installed soon.

The new rims are HRE (I think) they are brushed aluminum with a chrome lip, 19's up front and 20 x 13's in the rear with 345 tires.

It was very cloudy out this day and very difficult to get direct sun shots, but I thoroughly inspected this vehicle for swils and it had none as it had only been washed once before.

Here's another 08 Vette, with an all new color for the Corvette this year called Jet Stream Blue.

It's a very "pretty" color, but I'm not sure how I feel about it on a Vette yet....

Again it was very overcast and dark, so no direct sunlight.

Process for interior was the same as the other, dusted, vacuumed, Zaino Z10 leather conditioner and exterior got wash, light clay on top surface, then Zaino AIO and Z5 with Z8 wipe down.

This is my favorite color interior.

It's hard to see, but you can almost make out how the metallic flake twists the blue to almost look green at some angles.

Nice job Josh!

I'm loving the black Z06, but what's up with that ghetto speaker box in the back?

Sweet car!

Do the pictures resemble the true color of the JSB, or does it look different in person? I know sometimes particular colors are hard to capture by camera.

Nice work!

Nice work!

That speaker box was a little big for my tastes...... to each their own.:lol

The JSB color looks great in persona but is hard to capture with a camera, it actually looks soooo much brighter in the camera then in real life, but the metallic flake it has does give it a tourquoise and greenish look at certain angles. It looks alot darker in person, I'd bet with a lighter or brighter background colors it would look darker to the camera.... I don't play with any setting or anything like that.

I think there's a few others that have posted up JSB colored vettes. I wish the sun was out, I'm sure it would have looked a lot different.

STUNNING Z06... The new Vettes just keep getting better and better. It looks like the interior build quality is very nice!

Justin, thanks, it really is a sweet ride, I was disappointed when he sold his 06 red Z06 that was custom'd out like this one, but once I saw his new Z I was happy again.

Zack, thanks, I agree, the interiors are coming along slowly but surely, they could still do a little more to make it more plush, but you know how GM is.....

Both look really good, Josh. :)

I agree about that blue color, looks a bit bland for a Corvette. That electron blue they used on Civics would probably be better....still, it has 180 hp more than my car does! :lol

Your Houston trips have me itching to get back down to Austin to break up the routine a bit.

The black one just needs to have that enclosure repainted... If you look on the front interior shots, the back of it is till unpainted. It would look great if it was repainted nice and glossy.

Most people hate them, but I love the z06 interior. Looks "all business" IMHO.

Where are the halogens? lol just kidding around.

Both look great. Not feeling the custom enclosure though on the black one.

:rofl that's a good one. :xyxthumbs

Well I didn't take any pics before or after, just the final product. There really wasn't anything to show anyways, just a small isolated area of buffer trails from the factory that got corrected, nothing to really brag about.

Actually they made an Electron Blue and Lemans Blue for the Vette from 02-07.

I'm about to head back to Houston in another 2-3 weeks as well, got them lined up for miles.....:grinno:

Well, he's got the rest of the pieces for it, just hasn't gotten it all put together yet. He's only had the car about 2 weeks when I detailed it, so still many mods to come.:bigups
