I just ordered the s100- my car is black metallic.

I was told after the order i should have gone with the 21 which is

use for cars-s100 is used for motorcyclres. Then told the BEST carnauba is the 60-70$ pinnacle soverign.

THEN told to use diapers instead of micrafiber towels to remove wax as MF will take off the wax.

can someone please give me a reply which i will understand?

if i buy diapers whic ones???

sick to my stomach!!!!

tks as always

Do not use diapers. They do not have the nap that a microfiber towel does and if anything is either on the paint or the diaper, it is more likely to scratch.

Pinnacle Souveran is a great wax, I was really happy with the jar I had, but S100 is $55 less, slightly easier to use and the shine is so close most people won't be able to tell. Since your paint is a metallic black, personally, I think S100 will look better because it seems to make the metallic jump out at you.

Speak English!! Ok, if I understand your semi-coherent post, you have a black metallic car for which you just ordered S100 wax. You were then told that you should have gotten "21" which I am going to assume is P21S. Then you were told that you should have gotten Pinnacle Souveran. Then you were told that diapers were better than MF towels.

Ok- S100 is by all practical means identical to P21S except for the cost- P21S is more expensive. For the price, Pinnacle Souveran is probably not worth it, but if you have some extra cash to lay down on wax, by all means, it is a great wax. One would be extremely hard pressed to find a difference in a car with S100 and Souveran. As for the MF v. diapers, I have used MF ever since I started detailing and never have I had a problem with them taking off the wax. Only a very very microscopic layer is actually on the car and diapers and MF are both going to remove excess. Maybe there is some theory that the pile in cotton diapers is going to remove less, but it is not a widely supported theory. Anyway- you've got a great wax, S100 and MF towels, you should be set.

Please, do not use diapers to remove wax. As Sottwax has pointed out, there is no nap to grab the wax and help in removing the excess while leaving a wax film. You will be using too much pressure with a diaper and risk putting more scratches in the finish. However, AFTER waxing, you could use them as long as they are 100% cotton. But, why use a diaper when there are far superior towels out there! Go with Pakshak for MF towels, add to that at least one Autopia CBT towel and at least one DFTowel which are both pretty close to one another (CBT and DFTOWEL).

The S100 is exceptional product! I'd also look into the new Clearkote wax once it's released to production as several have used the new updated one and it seems to be very pleasing.

Best advise, polish your finish as glossy as you can, as the wax is just a protectant layer and although they do add some additional gloss, it's best you get it as shiny as possible before any wax. Let's just say it doesn't hurt and it adds to the "wet" look.

You'll be happy with the S100.... Ask anyone here! I have Souveran, and paid through the nose for it when I could have used S100.

Dump the diaper idea, get a quality MF (NO CHEAP ONES PLEASE) and a CBT and or DFTowel. Happy waxing! Post pics when done.

Deanski

Was the other thread not good enough for you? People generally search the threads by hitting the "new Posts" button. There is no need to post the same thing in two seperate forums becuase people don't search by forum anyway. They search by the most recent posts in all forums at once.

Liquid Souveran is a bargain for what it does.

I just picked up a bottle for $17.99 with the secret password. LOL.

It has just been reformulated with new "super polymers" and was developed in South Florida.

Good enough for me.
