Hi again everyone,
I just went out today and purchased a jar of S100 = $14.99 -15% at the local Harley dealer. My question is, whats the difference between S100 and P21S? Besides price? I'm just wondering. What does everyone think of the S100? For the $12.74 + Tax= $13.79 should i go and buy more? Will i be happy with this wax?

Thanks,

I believe they are the exact same.

Almost the same thing. Noticeable differences in consistency and the fact that S100 has flex agents. I used S100 myself and like it alot. I'd rather take the cheaper one :D

They may not be 'exactly' the same, but there isn't a difference that you are going to notice. I could swap your S100 for P21S and (other than the color of P21S being white and S100 being kind of yellow) you would never notice the difference. At least your car will never notice the difference anyway... Even the ladies don't notice a difference. :naughty My car is just as smooth with S100 as it is with P21S.

Only you can answer that, but S100 is a good wax, easy to use, buff off, doesn't dust and stain trims, looks good, cheap, reasonable durability, nice beadings :D .

Enjoy

So i guess that i should go and get some more for that price. I hate the detailing stuff, I'm always buying new stuff and most of the time throw out the old. I think i need therapy...Compulsive Auto detailing buyer....

You should try it out first, see if you like it :), if not you can always trade for somethingelse here ;)

You may want to sell some of the stuff you don't use on either detailcity or autopia, there are always members looking to trade or buy. It's a great way of trying out something or making a little money off something that would otherwise be tossed.

One jar is going to last you forever. I don't think there is a rush to go out and stock up just to save $2.26 per jar. :lol

You are correct. I only do this to my cars and auction cars for myself, but i do like that POP that i see on other cars. Will the S100 last longer then say Megs Gold class or Megs cleaner wax? I have both of them and am not totaly happy with either. I'm looking for a great combination of items. I have a PC, and a dewalt 849 with DACP #83 that i use for the PC and i use Ultimate cutting cream made by Presta for the Rotary.

S100 will last about 6 weeks. That is par for most waxes. Don't expect more than that really. If durability is what you are looking for then you need to look into a sealant.

Maybe not quite forever, but 35 to 50 cars with one jar would definitely be a possibility. It doesn't take much.
Follow the instructions an apply it to a section and wipe it off immediately. Almost as fast as using a QD.:)

What would you suggest for a good sealant? I ordered VM along with some PC pad's again.

Soooooo many to choose from.... Wolfgang, Four Star, Klasse, Zaino, Meguiar's, etc... that is why the forums are here. Do some searches on sealants and see what you think about other people's opinions. Personally I like Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection (UPP).

Thanks for all the help and information. This site is great..

If you order it from Auto Geek, (A sponsor of the site:)), it is $14.95 less the 10% DC discount = $13.46. No tax.
You would have the shipping cost, but it sounds like you are going to be ordering more stuff and the S100 might ride along for free.

FWIW, going to the store to pick something up isn't free. It might be almost as cheap to pay the shipping on some things and have them delivered to your door.:dunno

My top 3 Sealants: 1. UPP-Great looking, easy to apply VERYslick
2. FMJ-Same as above. A little pricier though
3. Glare- A relatively unknown product that advertises 5 year protection. Don't know if that is true, but it looks phenomenal on a car. It can be found at www.autopolish.net. I like Klasse SG, but it is a little finnicky to apply and take off. For that reason, it didn't make the cut. But, it is very durable and there are some "tricks" to putting it on. One is the Wipe ON Wipe OFF method. If you do a search, it should show up. My trick is to use Optima Car Wax on top of the SG. It will take the SG off that has been put on too thick, and it reacts in a very positive EYE-POPPING Finish together. Hope this helps.
