S100 Shine Enhancing Paint Cleaner

Are you all applying the S100/P21s by hand or with a PC? Any tips on using the product? Small section, apply until almost dry?

Thanks.

Does this product fit anywhere in the Klasse regimen? Or is it the carnauba equivalent of AIO?

Reason I ask is that sometimes I need a little more cleaning power than just Gold Class carwash, but I've got a well-developed multi-layer Klasse finish going and don't want to strip it down...

TIA,

Robert
If you mean the subject product of SEPC, it's a mild paint cleanser and it sounds like you could put in on before Klasse, but not on top because it will strip Klasse off.

Hey folks, let's not confuse the S100 WAX with SEPC. It seems people are talking about both, even though the original topic is SEPC....

Great poduct I've used GEPC by hand and with a PC. As stated, a little goes a long way. Easy by hand. With PC I used a white pad and found that a higher speeds removes fine swirls, but not as agressive as a SMR. I make a pass at speed 3, then while working the product in, increase speed on next pass to 4, then 5.

As far as the wax, always did it by hand because it's easy on easy off.

Your better foam pads are actually made my Lake Country, then they are sold to various distributors under their own name. CMA carries them.

Yellow - abbrasive polsihing (not nearly as course as wool)

White - medium polishing

Black / Grey - fine polish but better suited for wax (application only)

F355:

Thanks. I happen to use Meguiar's pads and since the colors of the pads vary between manfacturers, white didn't tell me much.

Polishing and finishing were terms that told me what I wanted to know. It had seemed logical that a polishing pad would be used with a polish, but.....

FWIW, Meguiar's colors would be:

Burgundy - Cutting

Yellow - Polishing

Tan - Finishing

I used the P21S GEPC last night on several areas of my Z28. This stuff is as great as everyone has been stating. Great finish gloss, filling of micro-marring and a charm to use.:xyxthumbs . This is the missing link I have been searching for. My Z28 looked great at 95% of all angles and 100% flawless in normal outdoor lighting. This apparent perfection was uncovered for it's flaws under extreme (300W halogen) lighting in my detailing garage. I accepted this as normal for dark (black) vehicles. I set out to use the GEPC under this type of lighting. Why? Because as a IHG user this was the only way to detect streaking and under buffed areas. To my surprise the GEPC'd panel looked GREAT even under this severe lighting. No hazing, no greyish hue and a dramatic decrease of the light exposed micro-marring.:bounce . IHG does a good job at what is does. IHG is a definite improvement over Meg#7 but this GEPC is in a league of it own. Oh, did I mention how easy this product was to apply and buff. Basically effortless. Thanks Intermezzo and Tony for your help and now I can understand your enthusiasm about this product. The best $9 I have spent in along time.:bow :wavey

Tony thanks again for the usage tips.:xyxthumbs

Can I go ahead and use S100 PPCL to remove the wax on my car now, or I should I go ahead and do a wash with Dawn and then use the PPCL?

This may be a mute question, as I may have to use 3M SMR to hit some minor scratches and swirls. If I go this route--would I want to use the PPCL after the SMR--or is this redundant?

Going to top car off with S100 paste wax--that is if the weather ever cooperates!

Thanks,

I wouldn't bother with a Dawn wash unless you are switching to Zainos. Honestly, I think the Dawn wash is highly overated and unecessary. Use the SMR first and follow with S100 SEPC, since it is far less aggressive. Finish with S100 paste and stand back and try not to get any drool on your paint. :xyxthumbs

scott your right i used some 3m smr yesterday and topped it off with some s100 wax the lady and her husband were amazed at there car it was a 99 volvo blue great results

I just did a silver bmw yesterday, I wanted to try to the S100 PPCL. I started with clay, then the Medallion Paint Cleaner, then the PPCL. I liked the shine but was thinking it wasn't as shiny as Meg's #7, I put some #7 on the trunk and it looked better to me so I did the rest of the car. Then topped it with S100 wax.

Have any of you guys used any other polish's on top of the PPCL? I know scottwax uses the Meg's hand polish, any other suggestions or should I just use the S100 over the #7, time isn't a problem for me. What about the IHG.

When you apply S100 SEPC do you have to let it dry before removing it or do you apply it just like you do S100?

I emailed p21s on this one. They said :

apply to a large area like your roof. Then buff out. Move on.

So basically one large panel at a time.
